PATS Concession Attendant

Under general supervision, the Parks and Texas Star Concession Attendant is responsible for monitoring all daily activities of the concessions at the Parks at Texas Star. Position is expected to be scheduled 10-30 hours per week.

• Provides exceptional customer service in selling of concessions.
• Assists in resolving participant concerns and referring issues to management.
• Performs cashier duties including accurately balancing a register and securing all cash receipts.
• Responsible for cleaning of facilities.
• Prepares concession stand for daily operations including food prep and performs basic inventory, restocking including daily maintenance and restocking of all concession areas and restrooms.
• Assists in other areas as needed such as ball field maintenance, special events and other activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to approach and communicate with patrons in a personable, confident, and welcoming manner. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to keep accurate and honorable cash management records and exchanges.
• Ability to operate equipment including telephones, computers, concession stand appliances, and cash register.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, maintain regular and consistent attendance, and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must have basic math skills.

Must be at least 16 years of age. Will be required to pass a State Certified Food Handler's Course.

Must be able to perform physical activities to include lifting and carrying loads up to 25 lbs.; walking; kneeling; use of upper extremities; sitting/standing, near/far vision, working in outside temperatures including excess heat, cold, and precipitation.
