Openings: 2 Full-Time Positions (Night Shift)
Client is seeking two skilled Respiratory Care Practitioners for full-time night shift roles in Eureka, CA. These professionals will apply critical thinking, clinical knowledge, and hands-on skills to support patients of all ages in units including Critical Care, Emergency, NICU, PACU, Telemetry, and Childbirth Centers
.
This role is ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of acute hospital experience
, especially those experienced in high-acuity and multi-unit respiratory care.
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care services across diverse patient populations.
- Assess, plan, and deliver care in ICU, ED, NICU, PACU, and other critical and acute settings.
- Operate ventilators, administer respiratory medications, perform bronchial hygiene, and support life-saving interventions.
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and Code Blue events.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records and care systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize care outcomes.
- Follow established clinical protocols and ensure patient safety in every interaction.
- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation.
- California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License - Required upon hire
- BLS Certification (AHA) - Required upon hire
- ACLS Certification (AHA) - Required within 90 days of hire
- PALS Certification (AHA) - Required within 90 days of hire
- 2+ years of full-time hospital-based acute care experience, including:
- Critical Care
- Emergency Department
- NICU
- PACU
- Medical-Surgical
- Telemetry
- Nursery
- Childbirth Center
- Strong clinical skills in acute care settings with multi-unit exposure.
- Proficient in the use of ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen therapy, ABG analysis.
- Able to work independently on night shifts and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Certified and compliant with California RCP licensure and AHA certifications.
