American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a day shift hospital role requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of L&D experience.

• Labor and Delivery unit caring for a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
• 11 rooms/beds with average daily census of 15-20 patients
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
• Floating required to meet facility needs, with travelers given first priority within their scope
• Epic EMR experience required
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections

• Active CA RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and maintaining IVs required
• Experience with labor and delivery management, high-risk delivery, vaginal delivery, and C-section circulation required
• Experience with fetal monitoring (EFM) and obstetrical patient triage required
• Postpartum care experience preferred

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
