Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, with postpartum experience preferred
• Care for high-risk OB patients within a culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

• Active California RN state license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Weekend availability required to meet staffing needs
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are eligible

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population with meaningful clinical variety
• Expected schedule of 4x12-hour day shifts with an anticipated 36 hours per week
