Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekend availability required to meet staffing needs

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB and a culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required onboarding modules prior to start and annually thereafter

• Active California RN license required (pending license not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission — post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the contract
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rate (candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a lower rate)

• Postpartum experience preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also eligible

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population with a full scope of OB care including cesarean section support
• Expected schedule of 4x12-hour night shifts per week with a defined holiday commitment structure providing scheduling predictability
