• Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
• Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, which include applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups

The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. The Radiologic Technologist performs and analyzes patient x-rays and reports results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.

In a collaborative manner, the RT supports Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

• High School Diploma required
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required

• Experience in a clinical setting preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).

• Responsible for x-ray services as needed
• Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
• Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
• May need to push patient in a wheelchair
