OverviewIn this role, you will utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care. You’ll maintain professional accountability for your assigned patients, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by your team, and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless patient experiences. Upholding patient rights and confidentiality is paramount, and your work will reflect our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Position DetailsKey Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care in the PACU.
- Collaborate with other departments for optimal patient recovery.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards.
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of care provided by the team.
Education: Graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Must hold a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
Certifications:- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or completion within 30 days of hire).
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit needs, including:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
