We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses in Astronomy, Physics, and related disciplines at Aims Community College. The primary purpose is to teach undergraduate courses, collaborate with full‑time faculty, and participate in professional development activities.
Part‑time faculty are compensated per credit hour, ranging from $1,297.00 to $3,753.00 per credit. In low enrollment cases, payment may be prorated on a 10% per student basis. Part‑time employees may also receive benefits based on hours worked.

Work Hours- Teach day and/or evening classes at Greeley campus or satellite campuses in Loveland and Fort Lupton.
- Instruct assignments which may include a variety of courses in Astronomy, Geology or Physics depending on the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Work collaboratively with full‑time faculty that are course captains for the courses assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and the Academic Dean.
- Master’s degree in astronomy, physics, astrophysics or engineering, or a closely related discipline (master’s degree must show at least 12 credits in content‑specific graduate level courses) OR master’s degree including 18 graduate level credit hours in astronomy and/or physics. Graduate level science education courses can account for no more than six of the required 18 graduate level credit hours.

Screening& Selection
Initial screening will be conducted by a committee based on completed application materials.
