Event Manager – Aims Community College
Overview

The Event Manager serves as the point of contact for all aspects of event planning for Aims Community College events, coordinating high volume events throughout the campus.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize campus events, including department or program-sponsored events, educational partnerships, community outreach, and private/corporate functions.
- Lead all event planning and production meetings and discussions for assigned events.
- Coordinate audiovisual operation with Support Logistics staff and secure guest speakers and entertainment as needed.
- Develop and review event plans, conduct pre‑event meetings and walkthroughs, and manage on‑site production and vendor needs.
- Manage event budgets, including check requests, invoicing, and reporting, and prepare or modify event contracts as requested.
- Assist with the invitation, registration, and attendee check‑in processes for assigned events and conduct post‑event debriefs with key stakeholders.
- Significant involvement in the planning and execution of all commencement activities and other college signature events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Hospitality, or a related field and one year of related experience or an equivalent of education and/or work experience.
- Experience using event‑related database, software, and web systems.
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial management and budgeting skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and use a company vehicle for business travel, passing an MVR and being insurable under Aims insurance.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, decision‑making, time management, and cross‑team support skills in an event coordination capacity.
Salary
$52,612.00–$56,821.00
