Base pay range$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
A rapidly scaling logistics and technology organization is seeking a Fleet Manager to support and optimize field operations across its North Region. This role is ideal for a seasoned oilfield logistics professional who thrives in dynamic, high-intensity environments and has deep knowledge of trucking operations, fleet readiness, and driver engagement.
The Fleet Manager ensures equipment readiness, manages carrier and driver relationships, and maintains high operational standards in a 24/7 business environment. This position is highly field-oriented, requiring significant regional travel and daily operational presence.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee chassis and fleet data accuracy, including assignments, operational readiness, and maintenance coordination.
- Manage maintenance workflows to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing engagement of drivers and owner-operators.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and carrier relationships, including KPI oversight and performance management.
- Conduct regional market intelligence on pricing, competition, and capacity trends.
- Train drivers on technology tools and operational applications.
- Partner with compliance and safety teams on risk management and communication.
- Conduct route reconnaissance and field assessments.
- Maintain consistent operational presence, including after-hours responsiveness.
- Execute region-specific system updates and process improvements.
- Perform other special projects related to regional operations.
- 5+ years of logistics, oilfield trucking, or fleet operations experience
, with measurable accomplishments. - Strong familiarity with oil & gas hauling operations (e.g., sand, water, equipment).
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation with high responsiveness.
- Comfort working 10-hour days with extensive travel.
- Demonstrated stability and tenure (minimum ~2 years in prior roles preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile-app-based driver platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-urgency environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel heavily across the region.
