• Responsible for removal of paint and oxidation from railcars prior to paint, including removal of expended blast materials.

• Safely operate blast equipment with moderate supervision.
• Produce blasted cars that meet the instruction given within the time frame allowed.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards.

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds safely and ability to drag blast hose over full length of railcar.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• May work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection.
• Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.
