Imagine your first week

In the afternoon, you partner with Manufacturing Engineering to streamline a routing, then switch gears to generate cutting patterns in AutoCAD and MPanel for a custom shade assembly. A quick call with Purchasing secures a promising new fabric, and you finish the day validating loads against IBC 2024, ASCE 7-22, and NFPA 701.The

  • Create 3D-smart-models and complete drawing packages using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Produce precise cutting patterns for complex assemblies with AutoCAD, MPanel, and related tools.
  • Ensure every design complies with building and safety codes, including IBC 2024, ASCE 7-22, and NFPA 701.
  • Organize and manage part numbers, descriptions, and manufacturing routings for parts and assemblies within company systems.
  • Advance design for manufacturing and Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Coordinate sourcing of new materials in partnership with Purchasing.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product specifications through blueprint reviews and on-site visits.
  • Drive projects with external vendors, engineers, customers, and sales representatives to on-time delivery.
  • Manage tasks and milestones to support departmental and company goals; step in after hours when required.
