Position Summary:
Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and supervising construction projects by planning, organizing and controlling day-to-day tasks; complete quality inspections; supervises sub-contractors and field engineers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
- Provide critical information about the current status of a project and accurately estimate how it will finish from a cost and revenue perspective from where it started.
- Work closely with Walkers/Superintendents regarding project planning, field leadership, work plan development, submissions, and approvals.
- Conduct recurring team meetings to stay aligned with the expectations and goals of a project.
- Manage complex material supplies and draft scopes of work for subcontractors.
- Develop work plans and hazard analysis plans for crews to follow to execute the work safely.
- Understand and promote innovation for cost and schedule improvements.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety standards, and productivity goals.
- Perform complex construction designs - SOE, Hydraulics, PLC, Marine, etc.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
- Ability to relocate as needed.
