As an EMS Coordinator
, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
The EMS Coordinator is responsible for, operational/strategic planning, facilitating relationships with outside agencies/facilities, and operational support functions as assigned. Position will ensure compliance with company policies, State/Federal Laws, Rules & Regulations. Position is responsible for identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with EMS agencies, fire departments, 911 Dispatch, Air Medical and communities throughout the Deaconess Health System referral area. This position participate in case review.
Will work with other service lines to assist in development/implementation of education. Will coordinate the EMS-related activities and duties which are the responsibility of Deaconess Hospital as a Resource/ Supervising Hospital for the State of IL, IN, and KY.
Certifications/Licenses/Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's Paramedic degree required
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related field preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an EMT/Paramedic
- Possess a valid state driver’s license
- Paramedic training and license applicable state
