Job Overview

This position is responsible for greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing/escorting patients in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, compassion, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism.

Education and Experience

Completion of High School or GED is required. College degree preferred. Previous cash handling experience and knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred. Understanding of insurance is a plus. Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and percentages.
