Minimum of 2 years License: BLS Provider, Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed

Registered from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Must-Have:
Advanced Life Support certification preferred
Description:
Provides evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Assesses patients for appropriate types and frequency of treatment. Develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implements and monitors patient care plans and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes. Educates patients and families about health conditions.
Provides information about community support groups and available programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team codes. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
