System Engineer – Microsoft and VM Technologies

Requirements

• Formal education in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in IT management or solutions architecture.
• Expertise in Microsoft networks, physical networks, virtual server environments, and storage systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
• Proficient in using project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to devise effective IT solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities for client interactions and documentation.
• Ability to lead collaborative efforts and work effectively within a team.
• Experience managing client relationships and addressing client needs.
• Capacity to adapt to evolving technologies and client requirements.
• Attentive to detail in designing and implementing solutions.
• Creative and innovative in solving complex challenges.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software tools is necessary.
• Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and climbing as needed.

• Design, configure, and oversee Microsoft-based networks, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and routing protocols to enhance security.
• Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration of network services.
• Deploy and manage VMWare vSphere environments for optimized performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve VMWare-related issues promptly.
• Administer storage solutions such as SAN and NAS from well-known vendors.
• Configure RAID arrays, LUNs, and storage pools for efficient data management.
• Monitor both storage performance and capacity proactively.
• Implement network security safeguards like firewalls and access controls.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
• Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Create and test disaster recovery plans, and set up data backup strategies.
• Maintain precise network diagrams and documentation for reference.
• Generate and analyze performance reports for capacity planning.
