Position Summary

Title: IT Security Analyst

Salary Range: $65,000 - $68,000/Annual Salary

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's information systems.
• Monitor security breaches and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Provide security training and awareness to employees.
• Assist with the IT vulnerability management program.
• Make recommendations to enhance the IT Security Program and protect USI IT systems.
• Collaborate with users to discuss data access needs.
• Develop scripts, tools, and procedures to automate scans, assessments, and other monitoring activities.
• Verify the security of third-party vendors and collaborate with them to meet security requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2 years minimum experience in information security field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as NIST.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, authentication, and vulnerability scanners.
• Understanding of network security and cryptography.

Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements

• Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Frequent irregular or extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary to complete departmental deadlines or during special programs and events.
• Occasional travel may be required.
