Position Summary: Manage the CRM (Raiser’s Edge NXT) used by the Development office and serve as the fundraising systems expert. Work closely with Development, Alumni Engagement, Volunteer USI staff, vendors and University Information Technology to anticipate program needs, lead data coding and validation, and maintain charitable giving outcome and reporting standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for official data reporting and analysis operations of the Development office, serving as primary lead on all data requests, analyzing needs, determining requirements, establishing deadlines, distributing, and explaining outputs.
  • Produce regular and special Raiser’s Edge NXT queries, exports, and lists for Development and related offices.
  • Provide basic and standard fundraising reports for gift and constituent activity.
  • Prepare fiscal year-end report of charitable gifts and pledges for Annual Report/Honor Roll of Donors and VSE report.
  • Update and maintain daily, weekly and monthly queries, exports, and lists to ensure routine data reporting is available.
  • Coordinate with Development officers in scheduling the processing of annual fundraising and appeal letters, creating necessary outputs for the programs.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to support campaigns, prospect management, and other annual giving goals.
  • Craft complex reports to provide insights into donor retention, donor types, and acquisition; assist in strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Analyze, review, and rewrite programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new university initiatives.
  • Maintain records and documentation of procedures for producing reports and program revisions.
  • Maintain a master schedule for report production.
  • Ensure data integrity through routine data hygiene and audits in Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Maintain compliance with CASE and institutional data integrity standards.
  • Represent Development and Alumni Engagement and Volunteer USI on the University's data committees.
  • Recommend and oversee methods for obtaining accurate data efficiently.
Supervision of Data Entry
  • Establish and enforce clear data entry standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate and supervise biographical data input into Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for data entry and system usage.
  • Develop and maintain a procedure manual for data entry.
  • Train or supervise training of Development and Alumni Engagement and Volunteer USI staff on Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Blackbaud user support; monitor usage and stay current on product updates.
  • Lead testing for software revision updates.
  • Serve as primary database administrator: add users, maintain security, code tables, configuration changes as needed.
  • Perform graduate import using Omatic Cloud and correct data via imports and global changes.
  • Interface with IT personnel to maintain data integration between Raiser’s Edge NXT and student/finance systems.
  • Assist gift processing team with troubleshooting and suggested adjustments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of alumni/development software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of microcomputers, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
Regular Work Hours & Travel Requirements
  • Standard office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Occasional irregular hours may be required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
