Job SummaryWe are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Materials Management for the Kentucky region of Deaconess Health System. This leadership position will oversee the healthcare supply chain operations across all Kentucky region campuses, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery. The Director will work closely with Materials Management leadership at each campus to ensure all clinical and support departments are properly supported in delivering safe, top-quality patient care.
This role will also focus on cost control, operational efficiency, and strategic cost-saving initiatives in collaboration with the Value Analysis Manager and other regional leaders.
Leadership Development & Supervision: Lead and supervise Materials Management leadership at all Kentucky region campuses, ensuring effective team performance.
Standardization & Compliance: Establish and enforce standardized policies and procedures across campuses, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations, accrediting organizations, and hospital/health system policies.
Coordination & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical leadership to ensure efficient and effective supply chain operations, driving standardization and cost savings.
Budget & Financial Management: Contribute to the successful implementation of annual operating and capital budgets, as well as long-term financial goals. Evaluate and assess the cost-effectiveness and value of current and new programs.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Lead data analysis and report on supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at both campus and regional levels.
Collaboration & Cost Savings: Work closely with the Value Analysis team and subcommittees to ensure contract compliance, system-wide product alignment, and to identify cost‑saving opportunities across regions.
Education RequirementsRequired: Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience RequirementsRequired: Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience (e.g., Manager or comparable leadership role)
Preferred: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare and project management
