• Manage and maintain the written training program for union shop employees, ensuring it remains current, relevant, and aligned with operational needs.
• Empower and support assigned trainers by providing clear expectations, resources, and feedback to ensure consistent and effective training delivery.
• Regularly review and update training materials to reflect changes in processes, equipment, safety standards, and best practices.
• Conduct and oversee skill assessments to evaluate employee competencies, identify gaps, and guide individualized development plans.
• Promote a culture of learning and growth within the shop, encouraging cross-training and advancement opportunities.

• Oversee incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for material handling and inventory control.

• Participate in hiring processes for shop personnel, including interviewing and onboarding.
• Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and union agreements.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Proven experience managing a production or fabrication shop, preferably in a union environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of labor relations and conflict resolution strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
