Sewing Machine Operator

Fit Tight Covers is hiring for a Sewing Machine Operator role at our fully-conditioned facility.

• Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish custom insulation covers.
• Prepare machine for operation by threading, setting tension, and adjusting needles and bobbins.
• Position parts under the pressure foot and guide them along the machine bed.
• Start, stop, and control machine speed using the foot pedal.
• Inspect stitching for defects.
• Collaborate with coworkers and work overtime as needed.
• Maintain safety and security standards established by the company safety program.
• All production team members are part of the local Insulators union.

• Good attitude, willingness to learn, and readiness to work.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Open to taking company‑paid medical benefits after 130 hours worked.

• Sit and stand for 8 to 10 hour shifts.
• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate sewing machine and handle materials.
• Ability to see and read detailed drawings and measurements.

• Medical benefits paid in full by the company after 130 hours worked (cost to company $7.10/hour).
