The pay rate for this position is $28.45 per hour. What You'll DoThe Industrial Maintenance Worker is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure within a dry blending food manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports efficient production operations, and upholds strict food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & TroubleshootingPerform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on blending systems, conveyors, packaging lines, mixers, baggers, dust collection systems, and other production equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and related components.
Food Safety & ComplianceFollow all food safety protocols including GMPs, allergen controls, sanitation standards, and HACCP guidelines.
Ensure maintenance activities do not compromise product safety or contaminate production lines.
Complete maintenance tasks in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
Documentation & CMMSRecord all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work order details in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Assist in maintaining accurate equipment documentation, including manuals, schematics, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and support root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
Participate in installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and process upgrades.
SafetyFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and other required safety procedures.
Actively participate in safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
What You'll Need To SucceedQualifications
Required:
2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience; food manufacturing experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial equipment. Basic electrical knowledge, including working around 3-phase power, sensors, and control circuits. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with dust, heights, and varying temperatures. Preferred Experience in dry blending, powdered food production, or similar processing environments.
Familiarity with PLC systems, VFDs, and automated equipment. Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/stick). Maintenance certifications or vocational training.
