American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a 13-week days assignment requiring cardiac critical care and open heart recovery experience.

• Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU unit with 8 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
• Procedures include post-open heart recovery, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards and GE monitoring systems and SWAN Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment length

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification may be required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cardiac critical care experience
• Background in open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide post-surgical and post-procedural care to complex cardiac and vascular patients
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced pay rate
• Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Only one submission permitted per candidate across all Ascension facilities system-wide
