We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our Inside Sales team as an Inside Sales Representative at our Evansville, IN facility. The main purpose of this position is to handle order management of Red Spot products to specified customers to increase sales of Red Spot products and services, working in coordination with the field sales team. The Inside Sales Rep will be the steward of the customer relationship and provide world class service – from their involvement in order management, inventory control, product delivery, and problem solving for the customer.

The Inside Sales Rep will handle smaller key accounts for Red Spot’s customer rationalization process and provide support to customers over the phone and may conduct field sales calls as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Management – Provide accurate finished good demand by effectively managing customer forecasts/release schedules; communication of customer requirement to appropriate departments.
    • Responsible for determining 40% of sales orders and customer order management in the absence of accurate forecasts.
    • Analyze forecasts, usages, and open orders and determine material (type and quantity) needed to be ordered as well as timing.
    • Monitor orders from date of entry to date of manufacture, adjusting requirements as updated forecasts are received.
    • Reduce need for production overtime and excess raw material purchases through accurate customer order management.
    • Prevent line downtime at customers and OEMs through customer order management.
  • Customer Rationalization of Assigned Small Accounts – Review each assigned small account (approx. less than $75k in sales) assigned by the Inside Sales Manager and VP of Sales annually to determine if the customer will be
    1) kept as a customer without changes,
    2) kept as a customer with changes, or
    3) phased out as a customer. The Inside Sales Rep is the primary contact with the customer during this period. A full study with final recommendation will be provided to the product team on an annual basis for each of these assigned customers.
  • Inventory Management – Increase cash flow by reducing finished goods inventory.
  • Coordinate efforts between Red Spot employees and customers – be the voice of the customer to departments at Red Spot and vice versa.
  • Computer Processing – Provide accurate order entry in SAP, including any conversions or changes needed in the system.
  • Increase customer loyalty and improve customer satisfaction for assigned accounts – make proactive calls and follow-up to assure customer satisfaction; build on product knowledge and understand processes; build customer relationships and create a loyal customer base.
  • Sales Growth/Improved Profit Margins – ensure compliance with policies and selling customers on the expedite order policy; reduce expedited freight costs; recognize areas of high cost & identify solutions to improve profitability.
  • Review Work Instructions – associated with the above-mentioned job title and regularly attends company-wide training on areas such as Corporate Ethics, Safety, Environmental, etc.
Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related customer service job and/or inside sales, OR
  • A combination of equivalent education and experience in Customer Service/Inside Sales.
  • Ability to work across departments and with vendors to ensure compliance with established calibration standards.
  • Ability to successfully pass Ishihara Test for Color-Deficiency.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual.
  • Remote capability – must have a dedicated workspace to work effectively during business hours.
  • Associate’s degree working towards a bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
