What

You’ll Do
  • Make a welcoming first impression, greeting customers and guiding them to the right colleague.
  • Provide efficient, courteous customer service in person and via telephone.
  • Offer information on Rockland Trust banking products that best suit customers’ needs.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash‑checking, and other financial transactions with accuracy.
  • Make decisions alongside your immediate supervisor, expanding duties as you gain knowledge and experience.
  • Work closely with our training team to learn responsibilities and complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate business goals.
  • Sales and service‑oriented personality.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, including weekends, as customer needs dictate.
  • Ability to successfully complete our training program.
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • 1–2 years of prior teller experience or cash handling / customer service skills.
