We are seeking a dependable, hands-on
Part-Time / Per Diem Event Banquet Manager to support our Event Manager and catering team with the successful execution of off-site events.
The Event Banquet Manager will assist with event setup, service execution, team supervision, breakdown, and cleanup at client locations. This position serves as an on-site leader who helps ensure the event staff is organized, professional, properly assigned, and meeting company service standards throughout the event.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced banquet captain, event supervisor, or hospitality professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented catering environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Event Manager with the execution of weddings, corporate events, social events, private parties, and other off-site catering events.
Assist with loading in and setting up events at client venues, including tables, chairs, linens, service stations, bars, buffet areas, equipment, and other event materials.
Review event details, timelines, floor plans, and staff assignments with the Event Manager and event team.
Help direct and supervise event servers, bartenders, and support staff throughout the event.
Ensure team members are properly dressed, prepared, professional, and following company service standards.
Conduct or assist with pre-event staff meetings and communicate assignments and expectations.
Monitor service throughout the event and make adjustments as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
Help ensure food and beverage service is timely, organized, and presented according to company standards.
Maintain communication between the Event Manager, culinary team, service staff, venue representatives, and other event partners.
Assist staff when additional support is needed, including food service, clearing tables, resetting areas, replenishing stations, or other hands-off responsibilities.
Help maintain a professional and positive working environment among the event team.
Monitor employee performance during events and communicate any concerns, attendance issues
