West 2 is a secured, nine‑bed inpatient adult Psychiatric unit located at Everett Hospital.
We provide expert hospital care for adults across the entire spectrum of mental health needs. Our care model is short‑term, intensive treatment.
The Unit Secretary performs a wide variety of administrative/clerical and non‑patient care duties. Maintains the medical record and department whiteboard, answers the telephone, schedules appointments and displays professional behavior and attitude to all customer groups. Strong attention to contributing to patients’ excellence of care.
Qualifications/Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have excellent customer service, PC skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous medical unit secretary experience preferred. Inpatient experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a secured pediatric inpatient psychiatric care environment.
