Human Resources Administrative Day Laborer
The City of Everett’s Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Day Laborer.
This position is temporary, up to 5 months in duration, and up to 20 hours per week. No benefits are provided in this position.
This is work providing assistance and general office support to the City’s Human Resources Department. This position performs administrative duties, providing support to the City’s benefits, payroll, recruitment, safety, and training functions.
Illustrative Examples of Work- Receive incoming telephone and counter calls and requests; screen, provide information and/or route to appropriate resource.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Gather information for reports and transactions and assist in the consolidation and preparation of data.
- Maintain departmental records and/or files, enter information into databases, complete online timecards, compile payroll and other reports on department, division, and/or employee activities.
- May attend meetings, take, transcribe, and distribute minutes.
- Assist with the balancing of workload among Department employees by providing backup and clerical support as required.
- Assist with the administrative support of the employee benefits program as required.
- Tabulate and sort data, generate reports, worksheets, schedules, letters, memos, requisitions, and other items.
- Perform related work and special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrated experience in performing varied office support work of a progressively responsible or confidential nature.
- Experience in the performing human resources functions highly desirable.
- Successfully complete a background check.
