OverviewAs a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs, champion the Safelite Spirit with your can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset, and bring unexpected happiness to customers while maintaining the highest quality standard.
Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass (classroom and hands‑on) focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
- Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication via Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology and promote and sell Safelite promotional items.
- Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles and company‑issued tools and chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting at 20/hour.

- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent (Preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other required licenses to operate a company vehicle.
- On‑the‑job training / completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist with windshields weighing 26‑50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle per all federal, state, and local laws and be monitored via camera/video surveillance.
- Maintains professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Ability to safely work outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Ability to work with chemicals (including flammable chemicals) as applicable.
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to read, write and interpret the English language and technical directions.
- Ability to communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer or other electronic means).
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies.
- Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under pressure.
This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through the use of cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
Other qualifications may be required to ensure employment eligibility in accordance with local laws, regulations and with Safelite Group, Inc. policies and practices.
