The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between the Service Department and its customers. They are responsible for assisting their customers with service and maintenance needs and ensuring the customers’ continued satisfaction with the dealership. Are you passionate about cars and people? Responsibilities- Greet every customer like a VIP - because they are.
- Perform vehicle walk around, gather customer information, listen and identify primary concern. Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
- Review vehicle repair histories and verify the need for maintenance and/or manufacturer recalls.
- Promote the sales of labor, parts and accessories:
Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for parts and labor. - Establish and communicate an accurate promise time.
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and update customers as needed.
- Verify the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order, contact the customer to advise of completion.
- Explain all completed work and charges to customers.
- Cashier customers, taking payment via cash, check or credit card.
- Perform active delivery, walking customers to completed vehicle and ensuring satisfaction.
- Track and achieve CSI goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
- 2+ years of service advisor experience (dealership preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to build rapport quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with service management software (Dealer track & Xtime a plus!).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset.
- Basic business math and computer skills.
