Special Education (2025-26) role at Everett Public Schools
The role is for 1.5 hours/day, 195 days/year, with a focus on program support and paperwork. The salary schedule is based on the Para educator schedule.

The role supports various programs, including:
- Developmental Preschool: for students with developmental delays and moderate to severe cognitive, academic, and adaptive delays.
- Developmental Kindergarten: for students with developmental delays and moderate to severe cognitive, academic, and adaptive delays.
- Resource Program: a service for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), health impairment, and mild social/emotional behavioral deficits.
- Extended Resource Program: a service for students with mild to moderate delays in general intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior.
- Life Skills Program: a service for students with significant cognitive and academic delays, existing concurrently with deficits in adaptive behavior.
- Achieve Program: supports students with health impairment or social/emotional behavior disability that adversely affects their educational performance.
- GOAL Program: a transition program that provides a sequence of school-based experiences and training to assist students with special needs to become more self-reliant and independent.
- STRIVE Program: a transition program that provides a sequence of school-based experiences and training to assist students with special needs to become more self-reliant and independent.
