Responsibilities- Coordinate the work of design engineers with the balance of a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire project's development.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
- Assume technical lead within a project execution team.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Coordinate workload throughout the project to complete project deliverables on schedule.
- Work with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews with management as needed.
- Direct the activities of other engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of distribution design experience.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Experience with industry software including: CYMCAP, ETAP, SKM, Easy Power, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc.
- Experience performing structural analysis, plan and profile preparation, line optimization, preparing specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, and Revit).
