Overview

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors Soft Bank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now operating Polaris, our next prototype on the path to the world's first fusion power plant.

You will own the development and implementation of systems that ensure Helion's manufactured products and processes are reliable, efficient, and consistently meet requirements throughout their life cycles. In this role, you will solve complex, multidisciplinary engineering problems critical to deploying fusion energy  will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians while contributing to the culture and growth of a fast-moving team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Production, and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.

• Develop receiving inspection and machine shop inspection processes that ensure reliable performance of both outsourced and in-house manufactured hardware
• Implement lean test and inspection processes to ensure reliable manufacturing systems
• Utilize manufacturing and product data to lead containments and corrective actions on fusion hardware and integrated fusion generators
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to challenge and simplify hardware requirements
• Work hands-on with experienced technicians to build and implement reliable manufacturing processes
• Expand your engineering skills and domain knowledge by learning from experts

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects, including schedule ownership
• Experience applying first-principles and method-based thinking to solve technical problems
• Hands-on exposure to multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and fluids

Total compensation and benefits are described as follows. Annual base pay: $123,000 - $164,000 USD. Helion s compensation package includes a base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity.
