Position Overview As a Fabrication Project Manager, you will lead high-performing teams in design, engineering, project management, and business services. You will oversee the successful execution of fabrication projects by managing the project's: personnel, financials, risks/opportunities, and schedules, through effective relationship building, communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting. You will mentor Project Engineers, and develop strong, positive relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities Own project scoping and execution while meeting or exceeding individual job profitability goalsUnderstand mechanical systems costing and value analysisCommunicate with internal and external teams to complete designs and clear scope within budgetDevelop and maintain positive client relationshipsEstimate and negotiate change ordersTrack, forecast, and report labor hours and material costsMaintain working knowledge of project contracts and specificationsEnsure compliance with UMC Standards and contractual requirementsPlan, organize, and schedule project work with fabrication superintendent supervisionPrepare fabrication shop work packagesEnsure full compliance with UMC Safety ProgramCommunicate proactively and professionally with team membersManage daily workflow and delegate tasks effectively.Onboard, train, and provide ongoing coaching to team members.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create career development plans for direct reportsUphold UMC Core Values and maintain regular attendance and promptnessCollaborate with field Project team and Manufacturing supervision to develop project specific schedule as it pertains to the creation and execution of Manufacturing specific deliverables.Assist in creation and management of project-specific Material MatrixCreation and release of fabrication packages to fabricators.Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications.Required
