Process Engineer

The Surface Finishing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing surface finishing processes such as anodizing, etching, plating, and coating to meet both cosmetic and functional requirements. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high‑quality finishes on metal and plastic components used in industries such as automotive, electronics, aerospace, and consumer goods.

• Design and implement surface finishing processes (e.g., anodizing, plating, coating) for various materials.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and trials of finishing techniques at customer or production sites.
• Monitor and adjust finishing processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet product requirements.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and support process improvements to close production gaps.
• Maintain and calibrate finishing equipment and ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards.
• Document process parameters and results for quality control and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external partners.
• Travel to customer or manufacturing sites as needed.

• 5 years of experience in surface finishing operations such as anodizing, plating, or etching, with aerospace experience preferred.
• Proficiency in quality check, quality assurance, process design, equipment operation, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Experience with advanced surface finishing techniques and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with suppliers and customers.

Permanent position based out of Everett, WAp>

The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year.
