Electrical Power Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation)
Location: Everett, WA
Duration: 12+ months
Pay: $72.00/hr - $76.00/hr (on W2, $76/hr)
This role is part of the Electrical Sub-Systems team in Everett, WA. The engineer will collaborate with Electrical Power Systems and cross‑functional groups to support program, system, and sub‑system activities focused on aircraft power system modeling and simulation.
Key responsibilities:
- Support modeling and simulation of aircraft power systems, including active/passive power conversion equipment, motor controllers, electric motors and generators, and power distribution/protection components.
- Perform simulations to analyze power quality, evaluate equipment and system‑level failure modes, and support the design and validation of protection schemes.
- Assist with technical requirements development, documenting complex electric power system requirements, and validating them through simulation and test.
Required qualifications:
- Background in power systems, power electronics, or automatic controls.
- Strong experience in modeling and simulation.
- Prior experience in electrical equipment systems design.
- Strong knowledge of power systems, modeling tools, MBSE techniques, and hands‑on simulation experience.
