Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer; Level 2

We are Lockheed Martin. This is a deployed Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer position located in the Greater Los Angeles (El Segundo) area. The role is telecommuter‑remote with a requirement to be within a reasonable driving distance to Lockheed Martin assigned suppliers.

• Achieve total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components.
• Utilize GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, mistake‑proofing and gap analysis.
• Apply root‑cause analysis, cause mapping, cause & effect diagrams, pick charts, and structured RCCA for effective corrective action.
• Lead suppliers through the development and execution of plans that ensure long‑term flow of defect‑free products to support Lockheed Martin Aeronautics production.
• Collaborate with functional organizations and leadership at supplier sites and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to solve technical and contractual issues, and ensure supplier performance aligns with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements.
• Hold U.S. citizenship (required for special access).

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited college.
• Proficiency in Blueprint Reading and First‑Article Inspection (FAI).Interpretation of engineering process specifications.
• Background in verification of mechanical methods for complex machined parts and assemblies.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledgeable in RCCA and effective corrective action plans.
• Knowledgeable in QMS / manufacturing process surveillance.
• Within a reasonable driving distance to Lockheed Martin assigned suppliers.

• Green belt and Six Sigma certification (plus).
• Knowledge of RCCA, PFMEA, APQP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑starter with effective time‑management skills.

This position requires a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Clearance level:
