Primary Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost effective production.
- Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs.
- Coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacities are developed to support new products.
- Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards and requirements.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction.
- Plan, define and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions.
- Responsible for managing and implementing projects of varying complexity and scope.
- Ensure integrity of existing manufacturing documents and take ownership for creation of new manufacturing documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Knowledgeable with components of Lean Manufacturing.
- Root cause analysis using various Problem-Solving methodologies
- Leadership experience within a team, project or job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results
- Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Solid Works and/or Pro Engineer (ProE) experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required
- Experience working in a metric/goal driven environment
- Hands‑on approach / experience with manufacturing processes preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills; effectively present information and respond to feedback at any level within the organization.
