Position Description
Position Overview:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced Project Managers on mechanical construction projects in an industrial setting. Interns will gain hands-on experience at job sites, learning the fundamentals of project engineering through real-world applications. The role is designed to prepare interns for future full-time roles as Project Engineers by developing skills in communication, scheduling, document control, and field coordination.
What You'll Do:
Spend significant time on active job sites, observing and assisting with daily operations, safety protocols, and project coordination.
Assist Project Managers with tracking project progress, managing documentation, and coordinating with field teams.
Help monitor deliveries and inventory of major equipment and materials.
Learn to maintain project documentation in compliance with company standards and contract requirements.
Support the review of drawings, specifications, and RFIs under the guidance of the project team.
Collaborate with field supervisors to help organize and update project schedules.
Attend safety meetings and support the implementation of safety procedures on-site.
