Systems Engineer III Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering & Integration team. This role is critical for supporting the development of robust systems in compliance with certification standards, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. The position is based onsite and may require travel to Renton, WA.
Responsibilities- Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft‑level to system and item level.
- Support development and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architecture.
- Ensure functional hazard assessments (FHA), preliminary system safety assessments (PSSA), and common mode analyses (CMA) are in alignment with safety objectives.
- Guide item design and implementation, ensuring traceability to higher‑level requirements.
- Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V‑model, including item verification, system integration & verification, and aircraft‑level verification.
- Support safety analyses such as SSA, FMEA/FMES, and compliance with aerospace/defense regulations.
- Collaborate across software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing phases.
- Provide documentation and support for certification authorities.
- Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and interchange meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace, automotive, or complex system domains.
- Hands‑on experience with V‑Diagram processes, including requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
- Knowledge of safety assessments such as FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES.
- Familiarity with certification frameworks including ARP
4754A, ARP
4761, DO‑178C, and DO‑254. - Strong analytical thinking, clear technical writing, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS.
- System modeling skills using SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in test planning and execution across multiple integration levels.
- Knowledge of aircraft design, development, and certification.
This position requires working 100% onsite with potential travel to the Renton site as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA. The position is fully onsite.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 – $60.00/hr we reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
