Event Cashier - Everett, WA

LAZ Parking is seeking an Event Cashier for the Angel of the Winds arena in Everett, WA.

Base Pay Range

$20.25/hr - $20.25/hr

Angel of the Winds arena - Everett, WA

Compensation: $20.25/hr

Hours:

Part-Time (flexible weekends and weekdays as needed)

The Spirit Of The Position

The Event Cashier is responsible for greeting customers in a friendly manner, processing parking payments accurately and promptly, maintaining booth cleanliness and alertness to security concerns, and ensuring service standards are met.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to start your shift.
  • Look customers up, make eye contact and smile, acknowledge them as they walk or drive by.
  • Always thank customers and wish them a good day after each transaction.
  • Accurately process validations ensuring the proper department code is entered.
  • Set up and take down appropriate signage as scheduled.
  • Answer questions about how to sign up for monthly parking or obtain validations.
  • Provide directions to Courthouse and County directory for public departments.
  • Ensure adequate ticket stock at the start and end of shift; replenish supply as needed.
  • Clean the immediate booth area daily with broom and dustpan.
  • Clean any dirty booth windows.
  • Immediately report incidents or safety concerns to the Manager or Supervisor on duty.
  • Assist other employees such as Ambassadors with breaks as requested.
  • Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service.
  • Answer parking-related or general inquiries politely and refer to supervisor when needed.
  • Accurately collect parking payments, provide correct change.
  • Understand and handle different types of parkers, tenants, visitors, employees, administration, etc.
  • Answer questions about county employee pool car sign-up.
  • Know the area and buildings to answer questions.
  • Assist in directing traffic at entrance or exit when asked.
  • Direct incoming vehicles to open parking spaces if needed.
  • Determine traffic flow during equipment failure or construction periods.
  • Maintain and repair parking equipment as trained.
  • Complete legible and accurate shift paperwork; run proper shift reports on register at end of shift.
  • Submit organized paperwork and tickets as directed.
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Seek continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred (not required).
Experience
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Parking industry experience preferred (not required).
Skills
  • Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
  • Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
  • Good English speaking, reading, and comprehension.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and maintain firm stance.
Physical Demands
  • Work in various weather elements (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
  • Lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently during a shift.
