Pride Health is hiring a Ophthalmic Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Everett, WA 98201 & Arlington, WA 98223. This is a 3+ month assignment (possibility of extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job name: Ophthalmic Technician

Duration: 3+ months Contract (possibility of extension)

Payrate: $20–21.50/hr (W2).

Schedule: Mon – Fri 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (5 days/week).

• Obtain initial patient assessment by recording pertinent medical history and chart procedures for medical records.
• Perform and record visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis test, autorefractometer readings, refraction, intraocular pressure and other tests as directed by physician.
• Coordinate physician activities and facilitate patient flow in the office.
• Utilize AIDET to greet patients, handle questions during visits, triage phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Administer ocular medications under physician direction.
• Assist with treatments and minor surgical procedures as directed.
• Maintain accurate and reliable medical records.
• Complete patient billing. Track referrals.
• Work as a team member within the Ophthalmology and Optometry department and with all other Optum departments.

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• COA certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Eligible for Washington State Medical Assistant (MA‑R) registration.
• One year of experience in an eye care setting.

COA, familiarity with ophthalmic equipment such as applanation and tonometry instruments, OCT, visual field.
