For every child, the right to a Hero

How can you make a difference?

The position is based in Washington, DC, within the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (HEPR) team of UNICEF’s Global Programme Division. HEPR prioritizes children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and underserved communities by supporting the interruption of disease transmission, continuity of essential services, and delivery of life‑saving supplies. UNICEF works with national authorities and partners through multisectoral interventions to contain outbreaks, mitigate their wider effects, and address the socioeconomic impacts of public health emergencies.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director, HEPR, and in close liaison with the Public Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Division (PPR), the Programme Specialist leads results-based management, programme monitoring, donor reporting, and planning, monitoring and evaluation activities for HEPR. The role coordinates results frameworks, indicators and data‑collection systems; analyses programme progress; tracks performance and risks; and consolidates high‑quality internal and external reports.

The incumbent also works in collaboration with both PPR and the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) to support grant oversight, partnership engagement, resource mobilization, knowledge management and reporting across headquarters, Regional Offices and Country Offices. The position works closely with technical teams, country offices, and relevant UNICEF divisions to ensure timely, accurate and decision‑oriented programme information for donors and stakeholders.
