We are seeking a Systems Engineer with project‑management experience and a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude to position our company for continuous improvement, future growth, and improved social responsibility. Leadership skills are a real plus. Working on site at our facility is required.
Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal interruption.
- Monitor enterprise‑wide network performance, troubleshoot issues, and oversee configuration and firmware/software processes for routers, switches, communications appliances, and wide‑area networks.
- Provide support through the IT service desk, responding to tickets, analyzing and resolving reported technical problems.
- Serve as a resource for IT staff, vendors, and business partners in all enterprise‑wide network technologies.
- Lead network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation, software, and integration testing, and coordinate these activities with other technology staff.
- Design and implement projects involving next‑generation network technologies including communications convergence and virtualization solution delivery.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers across on‑premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
- Evaluate network architecture, develop documentation, and maintain designs for WAN, LAN, and VPN architecture enterprise‑wide.
- Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve backup and recovery solutions, managing daily backup operations with regular test restores.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Minimum four years’ computer systems programming and integration experience.
- 3+ years of network design, administration, and maintenance in a multi‑site enterprise network with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
- In‑depth experience with switches, load‑balancers, firewalls, VPNs, routers, and routing protocols.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise wireless and cellular network technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
- Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with NIST 800‑171 and CMMC cybersecurity controls.
- Knowledge of network hardware, software, and programming principles.
- Proficiency in at least one high‑level language; knowledge of assembly language desirable.
- Dependable and flexible, available during after‑hours for on‑site support.
- Knowledge and experience in a professional business environment.

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires either a U.S. Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non‑U.S. person eligible to obtain required export authorization by the Department of State.
The target wage/salary range for this role may be within $90,000 – $140,000, depending on education and experience.
