- Opportunities to grow into project team, cybersecurity team, network engineer path, or support management.
- Service Desk Technician responsible for handling first‑level support of service requests.
- Handles workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor‑specific hardware and software.
- IT Support for Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
- Support of disaster recovery solutions.
- Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
- Basic remote‑access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix.
- Monitor remote monitoring and management system alerts and respond via service tickets.
- Maintain and review system documentation in Connect Wise.
- Communicate with customers as required, keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying of changes or outages.
- Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
- Fast turnaround of customer requests.
- Work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Coordinate with the Service Desk Dispatcher to route requests properly for quick resolution.
- Escalate service requests requiring engineer‑level support.
- Enter time and expenses in Connect Wise as they occur.
- Complete training materials and blueprints in Connect Wise University.
- Enter all work as service tickets into Connect Wise.
- Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
- Interpersonal skills: telephony, communication, active listening, customer‑care.
- Technical diagnosis skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and adapt to changes quickly.
- Technical awareness: match resources to technical issues appropriately.
- Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
- Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
- Typing skills for quick and accurate service request entry.
- Self‑motivated to work in a fast‑moving environment.
