Description
This position supports the Emergency Management (EM) functions within their assigned region. The Principal Emergency Management Officer is responsible for coordinating EM activities for personnel and facilities within the Puget Sound Region; identifies potential EM risks, evaluates hazards, prioritizes needs and coordinates corrective action(s). The position requires availability for emergency response at any time.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Coursework/Training:
  Education or training in Emergency/Disaster Management.
• 4 years of progressive experience in emergency management planning and coordination.
• 1 year of Supervisory or project/program management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Emergency Management or related field.
• Experience working in the healthcare field.
• Experience writing and administering emergency management documentation.
