Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Aircraft Test Technician to join our Joint and Installation team in Everett, Washington.
As an Aircraft Test Technician, you will be integral to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the testing and assembly processes. Your role will involve utilizing specifications, blueprints, and test equipment to repair, rework, and replace aircraft components while diagnosing and correcting malfunctions across various systems. You will conduct thorough functional and operational tests of integrated aircraft systems, ensuring their integrity and performance.
Your attention to detail will be essential as you prepare aircraft for testing, make necessary adjustments, and utilize precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with quality requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for obtaining the necessary parts and ensuring that all equipment is properly checked and maintained. Furthermore, you must be able to accurately differentiate between red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and other colors to effectively perform your duties.

Position Responsibilities:
Work to quality requirements using specifications, documents, and blueprints to repair, rework, remove, and replace parts, assemblies, and components of complete aircraft as required.
Operate test equipment such as test carts, panels, and specialized shop test equipment.
Verify that necessary equipment and accessories have been properly managed before applying pressure, following established procedures and specifications.
Perform sealing, sealing pickups, and rework as required, and prepare aircraft and/or sections for testing, restoring them to normal upon completion.
Diagnose and correct malfunctions in various aircraft systems, including electrical, electronic, fuel, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Conduct functional and operational tests of all integrated aircraft systems, ensuring integrity and performance.
Make testing aids as authorized and read job documentation (e.g., Installation Plans, Non-Conformance Records) to ensure compliance with the intended work.
Test various airplane systems using onboard diagnostic functions and manual test equipment, troubleshooting faults in circuits and systems.
Energize and operate various systems to perform operational tests per test documents and verify system integrity.
Set up and perform bench tests or automatic tests of electrical or mechanical components as required.
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure that quality requirements are met and select appropriate tools and equipment for operations.
Obtain parts and components required to complete assigned tasks and check test equipment prior to use to ensure proper operation.
Handle and protect components and assemblies in accordance with shop procedures and engineering requirements.
Report job handicaps, such as errors in sequencing, parts, materials, and assembly procedures, following shop procedures.
Maintain personal and tool certifications as required, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and lead, instruct, and check the work of others as necessary.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
