Mission DescriptionThe Equipment Repair Technician, under close supervision, performs electronic, electromechanical or mechanical repairs, including disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair and assembly of aircraft components, assemblies and accessories in a repair station environment to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
Tasks include:
- Using the ERP system to identify data from units and associated paperwork.
- Disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair, and assembly of aircraft components.
- Preparing quotes for chargeable repairs and obtaining customer approval.
- Preparing teardown notes and signing appropriate documents.
- Complying with Safran procedures and FAA regulations.
- Reading and interpreting component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, diagrams, schematics, and other documents.
- Utilizing hand tools (soldering iron, wire stripper, crimper, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers).
- Operating balancing and grinding machines.
- Measuring parts with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and scales.
- Inspecting, testing, and adjusting completed units to meet specifications.
- Requisition ing and inspecting parts and materials via ERP system.
Understand or be willing to learn company, quality management, and system policies and procedures.
Must have regular, predictable attendance and be willing to work overtime as necessary. A flexible work schedule can be arranged within the team.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment; multitask; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications- Level 1 –
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Experience:
1–3 years;
Computer
Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft Office Products;
Other
Skills:
Mechanical skills and basic understanding of electronics preferred;
Knowledge of technical publications and drawings;
Attention to detail;
Ability to work in a fast‑paced department;
Good verbal and written communication in English;
Computer proficiency. - Level 2 –
Education:
High School diploma;
Experience:
3–5 years;

Proficient with Microsoft Office;

Thorough electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills;
Ability to interpret technical publications and drawings;
Crimping and soldering skills;
Strong oral and written communication.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, and physical durability.
- Near vision and ability to distinguish colors.
- Arm‑hand steadiness and finger dexterity for precise manipulation.
- Manual dexterity for quick hand movements.
- Use of safety equipment (safety glasses, wrist straps, hearing protection, shop coats).
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Standing or sitting for an entire shift with repetitive motion.
- Ability to follow safety procedures when handling toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Random drug testing in accordance with FAA standards.
