Mechanical Assembler

Location: Everett, WA

Job : #71771

Pay Range: $20-25

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift – 5:00 a‑1:30 p

Shift Details: Overtime available pre‑/post‑shift or weekends after training is complete.

Eligibility: US Citizens, Foreign Nationals, or Green Card Holders with legal right to work in the US.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, the Assembly Mechanic performs a wide variety of mechanical production sub‑assembly and assembly operations of a semi‑skilled nature to build up and assemble difficult and complex units.

Job Responsibilities
  • Determine methods and sequence of assembly operations when complete information is not readily available, following assembly shop and production operations sheets, samples, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
  • Work with electrical components and wiring of various assemblies.
  • Handle riveting small detail sheet‑metal assemblies.
  • Assemble small parts into sub‑assemblies.
  • Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
  • Use pneumatic tools including drill motors and nut runners.
  • Operate precision measurement tools such as scales, digital/dial calipers, and micrometers.
  • Select and integrate components into sub‑assembly and assembly units.
  • Make set‑ups, alignments, and adjustments, maintaining tolerance per instructions.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as required.
  • Provide work leadership to lower‑level assemblers through assignment or review of progress and monitoring of results.
  • Use aviation assembly tools appropriately.
  • Read and comprehend drawings and shop orders.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (plus).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work in cramped spaces, knees, lying down, or crawling.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs periodically.
  • Aerospace experience preferred.
